News Release from FEMA – Remember To Get Your Permits

It is important in the rebuilding process to obtain the necessary permits.  The Town of Royalton has Flood Hazard Area Regulations.  Below is a link to our Flood Hazard Bylaw.  Please be sure if you are rebuilding that you know if you are in the flood hazard area.  If you do not know that your house or business is located in the flood zone please contact Nathan Cleveland, Flood Hazard Zoning Administrator at 802-763-7967 or rselectman@bluemoo.net

Even if you are out of the flood zone, commonly known as the 100 year floodplain you may want to consider flood proofing measures as you rebuild.
